Gore seems like the kind of weak politician we don't need. It'll be very interesting to see if most of the chatter here is just professional political hacks.
Please post what JLG has accomplished.
And what would that do change your opinion, that is clearly already made ip
Clearly, JLG has accomplished nothing or you would post it. Ward 4 deserves better.
You are welcome to look up the CMs accomplishments- it's not my job to convince you who to vote for. Based on the tone of people in this thread I have no faith that I could post anything that you would accept
For others interested, here are her accomplishments. PP clearly is a blind supporter of JLG who can’t seem to name any accomplishments: https://www.janeese4dc.com/my-record
I looked and the first item was lawsuits against landlords. It’s a AG responsibility not a Council responsibility and she didn’t even say how many or what the outcome was beyond “consent decrees”. The second item was what she calls her “proudest achievement”, the Homes and Hearts Budget Amendment. What she didn’t say was that it was a major tax increase that she claimed would actually “end homelessness”. Instead, what it did was dramatically increase vouchers and we know how that went. Not just along Connecticut Ave but the Post did some stories about how voucher recipients have brought drugs and violence to affordable housing communities while creating a cottage industry of voucher targeting slum lords. And how is the homelessness problem going? She seems like a very nice person one-to-one but unfortunately her politics are fundamentally unserious and have actually harmed people. No thank you.
