Rochester has the stronger students and has for a long time. My kid is there. All of their friends (12+ kids, including my kid) were WL at T20/30 schools, many at several in that range. One even got into a T30 and chose rochester instead. Majority of the kids at Rochester have the profile to be competitive for T20 schools and just didn't win the lottery. That is definately not the case at Pitt. It's a great school but their avg SAT (pre covid) was 100+ points lower. [/quote]
