I think this response teases out the male personality type that does this, which makes it ick. Having AirPods in your ear all day so you can pretend to "read" countless books is ick. A male putting a piece of electronics in his ears to avoid the world around him is ick. It's just not masculine behavior.[/quote]

How does OP or you for that matter, know if he has the airpods in all day? She's describing random men she sees outside. She has no idea what they're listening to or how long they're listening to it.

Imagine if a guy posted "Grown women walking around without makeup/without their nails done/not smiling/etc. turns me off." He'd be crucified and rightfully so. Women don't exist to provide visual entertainment for men. Likewise, men don't exist to live out some romance novel fantasy of what men should look like.

This is one of the most ridiculous things I have read on this board. I hope OP is no older than 15, that would excise the post somewhat.[/quote]
