Yes, understand the old group was different. Just giving the backstory. It's probably why this lady gained traction so quickly. She had a group of built in FB subscribers. And if she hadn't done all of those forced chats, I probably wouldn't have unsubscribed because I don't check FB that often. But now I want to rejoin for all the drama.

I joined when it was under a different name and I believe it was run by someone who was in it to help moms and then gradually started accepting some paid/sponsored posts. It was a pretty helpful page. I unsubscribed after I started to get the chat stuff when this lady took over. I believe there are several offshoots, like a page for parents with special needs. I am still subscribed to the meetup version - which used to be free but now it's 5 dollars a year (I think the charge came before she took over though). It lists out different kids based activities per day. My kids are older now but I still find some events here and there that I might not have found elsewhere. Just putting this out there in case someone finds it helpful.
Are you talking about the group for kids? That is different, kinda. A lovely mom ran it for years and her kids grew up and many of us in it eventually stopped going/organizing things as our kids got older and in activities/friends. She handed the group over to six cool moms and it went downhill very quickly and isn't the same group or worthwhile. Before it was all free and money the group leader, but some other parents organized lunches, activities and meet ups. She didn't want to shut down the group but no one else would take over. It was a great group.
