I agree with you some soccer parents are crazy but I talk about my kids teams using “we” all the time. Don’t see the big deal. It’s short, to the point, and nobody thinks my mid 40s self is actually on the team. I hear lots of people say “we” whether a top team or rec.

I think I say “we” talking about my kids rec basketball team. [/quote]
