Assuming I know what team you’re talking about, they won SuperCopa in June and Jeff Cup top bracket yesterday. Perhaps pompous, but not exactly insanity, that they are going to top tournaments and not just playing all the same Texas teams all the time.

I agree with you some soccer parents are crazy but I talk about my kids teams using “we” all the time. Don’t see the big deal. It’s short, to the point, and nobody thinks my mid 40s self is actually on the team. I hear lots of people say “we” whether a top team or rec.

I think I say “we” talking about my kids rec basketball team.
