It's the story behind the ring, who we were then, how life has changed since then, how he surprised me, how I kept saying oh my gosh so many times and he wryly asked if that meant yes. A trade in/up of that ring ....no way. DH would be hurt. I happen to love my ring but I knew even if DH got me the most butt ugly ring I would have to pretend to love it forever. I can't comment on the eternity band as an anniversary gift since it isn't on my radar. [/quote]
