I'm a liberal in my late 50s, but if we went to full blown war against Russia or China I'd offer myself up in a heartbeat.  Not for trench warfare, but instead where my actual expertise lies - geoint and data science.  Most of us are far more patriotic than you realize, and some of us have talents that are better suited for large scale strategic approaches than sitting in a trench.  And if you didn't understand what I mean or it somehow doesn't comport with whatever worldview you've been fed, I suggest you discard your current notions and start over from square one.[/quote]

Russia is already scraping the bottom of the barrel where it comes to sending people to the trenches.  Not to mention, down to trying to rehabilitate ancient tanks from the 1950s.  If there were an earnest NATO vs Russia war it would be over pretty damn fast.   And there will be lots of those guys with the *INTs sitting in comfy buildings picking off Russia's most important and vital strategic targets deep behind Russian borders from afar to completely cripple Russia in the first weeks.
