But that trope is a fantasy.  If you are having a sudden ER event, you get the doctors you get at the ER and the attendings that day.

Also, just like many professions, the best doctors didn’t go to Harvard, Yale, etc medical school (though certainly some did).

Best doctors line.  Stop scaremongering.  College grades and MCATs also serve as a check.  Some of the differences in inbound qualification just come from what the school district and parent provides (math tracking, AP classes, customized SAT tutoring, etc.).  It doesn't matter to me if my doctor had AP Calculus BC in high school.  I'd rather that they were a nice person who loves helping other people and is a good listener.  Saying this as someone descended from a JHU doctor/medicine professor.

Go read up on all the measureable issues that minorities have getting good treatment for medical issues. Start with Black maternal health as a topic.

Also, for random interjector above, keep in mind that Elon Musk immigrated here.  Before he showed any massive business potential.  Though that was just an off topic distractor you threw in there.
