There the air is brought in new from the outside, filtered and pumped into the cabin. This cycle occurs every two minutes. [/quote] Common misconception that air on airplanes is entirely recycled. At least half of it is outside air and all of it is circulated through HEPA filters on most planes now. If it was purely recycled there wouldn't been any actual oxygen left in at some point...[/quote]
