These terms are being weaponized, cruelly, against Jews who were the subjects of ethnic cleansing and genocide - the systematic eradication of 5 million of them in WWII and prior (ethnic cleansing and systematic killing of Jews goes way back, unfortunately). No doubt that the Jewish people have been victims of genocide.

That does not preclude Israel from committing a genocide. Many people view what is happening in Gaza as genocide and ethnic cleansing, meeting the definitions of both.
