Your presidential cycles are off a cog.  There was no presidential election in 1981. Who are you claiming was forced out?

I think pp is referring to Carter who lost the election to Reagan in a landslide in 1980 and took office in 1981. 
Then, there was George Bush who lost to Clinton in 1992. 
And, then most recently, Trump lost to Biden.

I think all 3 of these are examples of being "forced out" by voters.

Now, if you are talking "forced out" as in the DNC forcing Biden out to replace him with someone else, that is a different story. 
But, it is certainly something the DNC would do - given their history of making sure their preferred candidate gets the nod.  [/quote]
