Parents are the end all be all of their kids success. The anxiety of parenting manifests in over parenting. The data bears this out as well. And it's still a struggle to maintain your parents lifestyle/economic group. The sheer amount of funding needed to set your kid up for any type of success is astronomical. And trades are only recently (past 15 years) becoming lucrative again and that's because everyone moved kids away from trades and now there's a shortage. But it is still seen as less than to do a trade. [/quote]
