If that's who he is now, she's not wrong to look for a school that will support who he is. The thing OP does not understand because she is not gay and likely white, and thus unlikely to have personal experience with that sort of discrimination, is that a really big part of the wokeness she's trying to avoid is exactly why her gay child will be supported by the school and its community. If she picks a school that leans conservative, what does she think will happen when her child is being subjected to bigoted bullying? Which will happen. Any school nowadays that is not overtly committed to inclusion is not going to take care of OP's son if things get bad. And things are far more likely to get bad at a place that is a haven for those who are anti-woke. [/quote]
