Admittedly, we rarely travel with other families who aren’t related to us, but we always load up on food (a mix of healthy and junk) and the goal is for everyone to help themselves. I can’t imagine baking muffins and only giving them to my kids while others watch.
Let me clarify. You are saying that when your family lets say of 3 travels, you make breakfast and lunch for 10 people very day to share everything? This sounds like bs.
DP, but yes, when we travel with other families, everyone who cooks makes food for everyone else. We aren’t on the Oregon trail, if we need more food we just go buy it. Some of the people who will travel with us have less means, as the situation appears with the OP… as long as they aren’t resource hoarders like the OP, we share everything with them and don’t expect 100% reciprocation. It’s all a contribute what you can basis. But usually me and another dad go balls to the wall buying awesome food and drink and cooking because we enjoy it and enjoy sharing. If anyone started cooking a breakfast and made it clear it was just for them, they’d simply never be invited back to our awesome vacations. TBF, in the OPs story, I’m not sure I’d be friends with any of those involved. Except maybe the dog.
