That’s irrelevant. As the article describes, an AR-15 bullet will pierce through a person, the wall behind them and a person standing behind that wall. They are extremely powerful and are not used (by normal people) for hunting. Why does the average Joe need that much power? [/quote]

I know they should be age 21 minimum to obtain, require a permit and training, and not be permitted to purchase in bulk. In addition, gun owners should be required to register (I mean, we do it for our constitutional right to vote, so we can do it for guns) and that we should not have any loophole that allows any gun purchase without a background check.

I know we make it too easy for straw purchases and trafficking in *certain* states.

One is not like the other. We limit other things like alcohol and renting a car, due to age, and risk.
