Most affairs are probably unacknowledged.  It’s a behavior that people experience a lot of shame about and want to move past.  I was reading a book by a psychologist the other day and when her parents divorced her father remarried in short order.  She suspects he already had a relationship with her stepmother during the marriage but has no way to know.[/quote]
