The OP’s kid sounds like mine. And I have straight hair so I’m asking this- when you shampoo every 3-4 days, do you condition those other days or just shower (nothing to your hair?)

Mom, it’s fine to buy new conditioner. But it’s not going to cut it. She has curly hair. It’s different from yours. She needs to go to a curly hair salon (or someone good at a regular salon) and get some products and instruction. Or she needs to blow dry it. [/quote]

OP back again—the above isn’t me (I wish we lived near a Trader Joe’s but sadly we do not). I appreciate all the advice on this thread and am definitely going to experiment and explore some options.  And take my kid to my stylist who I’m hoping can give advice as well. Thank you for all these great suggestions![/quote]
