Nearly every school, even highly selective ones, has a Round 2/late applicant process in some form for all the above reasons. I think the point PPs were trying to make is that you can't predict, based on historic selectivity, who has space in the summer and in what grade. It can be random, so casting a wide net is a good idea.[/quote]
