I would like to tell you that this post made a very old part of my memory light up, and I went out and found the dress that I loved the most as a little girl. I called it my “engagement dress” because I asked my mom what Barbie would wear this to, and she said an engagement party. My mom has Alzheimer’s now, and thinking about this is making me cry. People who don’t get it, just don’t get it.
