During covid, my DH and I doubled down on ridiculous but fun lounge clothes for hanging around the house - we have all these insane floral matching sets, house dresses, and other fun things that when we put on, it means work is done for the day. We were explaining this to my BIL recently, and he just could not wrap his head around why we'd do this. He wasn't judgey; just didn't understand why clothes could be fun.

So I am totally digging her take on this. And to the PP above, no I don't think I'll ever get sick of barbie, at least not the fashion.

But this all makes sense in our selfie/twitter culture that lacks an understand of communcation science (yes that is a thing); just because you are putting words and images out there doesn't mean that people are influenced by it--there is a method to establish credibility and influence, and insulting people's intelligence isn't it. There is backlash all over regarding the Barbie promotion, it has become a joke. I am just trying to be helpful and point this out to you but oh well.
