It is very trendy right now to hate men and blame them for everything and assume negative intentions / malice. I am also on a British board and it is the same there. I guess it is a reactive pendulum swing and hopefully will settle back in the middle as it isn't great for boys or girls growing up with the current social cultural norms they are being taught about men. Eventually it will balance and the masses will figure out you can empower women without trashing and kicking and hating and blaming and disrespecting men.
OP here. Thanks for this thoughtful post. I think itis trendy to hate men, and blame then for everything. I don't like it, honestly. I also don't like the way our culture has pushed aside their feelings and needs - resulting in men with no or few friends and a reliance on their wives and girlfriends to socialize. I don't see this in my parents' generation. My dad socializes with his friends, organizes get-togethers with his group apart from my mother (he is early 80s if that matters, and she late 70s).
My dad and brothers do too! But my husband does not. That’s a big part of why the difference stands out so much.
