Talking about ALEC, Heritage Foundation, American Enterprise Institute, CATO, Heartland Institute, Manhattan Institute, and all the rest? They peddled climate denial for years. And they used FOX News and many other conservative outlets to sow FUD around the whole climate debate, to the tune of billions of dollars, funded by a whole host of organizations and corporations - who you "mainstream" conservatives supported and continue to support.
