I am the OP - and honestly I don't blame you. If Florida were as crazy as it is now, when we moved here, we wouldn't have moved here. Now we own a house, and have community - and we're just trying to fight. But we wouldn't move here today, if we were picking a new place to live. Even though we love where we are. I have a trans niece who's just a kid, and I don't even know if it's safe for her to visit me here anymore. Luckily we don't have kids in school so we don't have to worry - for ourselves - about those being destroyed.

But yeah. Please make sure you say out loud why you won't come here. Make sure that businesses here know they are missing out on your tourist dollars because our craven governor is pursuing his culture wars so madly.[/quote]

All these other posters make it seem like Florida is this great, sane place. If so, how in the world is it electing people and passing the public policies that it is, and banning books, etc.?[/quote]
