Same at our middle school!  The kids are dealing drugs at school and outside of school.  My kid has witnessed it in the bathroom.  It’s crazy that our schools have become a ‘safe’ place for the kids to distribute drugs to other students.

MCPD is not just randomly allowed to enter school buildings to do drug checks.  Can you imagine how that would go over with voters in Montgomery County and with our political leaders who want to defund the police?  [/quote]

The Supreme Court allows police officers to just randomly enter school buildings to do drug checks? The Fourth Amendment doesn't apply to students in schools, at all? Students shed their entire constitutional right to freedom from unreasonable searches and seizures by the government at the schoolhouse gate? How about that.[/quote]

Lots of schools have metal detectors and search backpacks of all students entering the school, in the name of safety. It's legal.

What's next, you're going to complain that your Constitutional rights are being violated when TSA searches you carry-on?[/quote]
