Wealthy alumni saved it at the last minute. Hampshire will be gone soon. Bennington College considered closing down in 2019. Received loans to stay afloat (if I recall correctly). Several Vermont schools are--and have been--experiencing severe financial challenges. Vermont Law School is one, and at least two others closed.[/quote]
