Not true.  I am very familiar with ECNL soccer and some of the very best teams nationally have been from the DMV over the last 10 years, and almost every player has also played on their high school team.[/quote]

With boys the top players aren't allowed to play for their HS team, MLSnext prevents it.  But, boys soccer isn't something most schools are recruiting for given the sheer number of boys that play high level Club soccer in the area. They don't need to recruit--the incoming classes have enough kids that just get in academically.  There were over 120 boys that came out for soccer tryouts last year, and maybe 1 was actually recruited.[/quote]

I meant to say that only 2 of the 8 boys going to play college soccer next year played for the high school team.  And 1 did not play all 4 years.[/quote]
