[/quote] The state schools you would want your child to attend if you lived in PA (Pitt, Penn State or Temple) are “state-related.” They receive some state funding, but very little. All the other state schools in PA, what most people would think of as public universities, are in the PASSHE system. They are mostly former teachers colleges. I think only one offers engineering. Most are in very rural areas & have tiny enrollments. Those schools are priced in-line with schools like UMD & VT instate, but with none of the reputation.[/quote]
