For many people it’s a choice that they spend months doing squats and yoga, practicing meditation, and preparing for. Just like a marathon - most people can do it if they choose to spend their time and energy that way. And just like a marathon, not everyone who starts finishes.

I had two unmedicated births and definitely didn't spend months preparing. I just went in hoping to avoid an epidural (mostly because I hate the idea of a catheter and not being able to walk) and did. Sometimes it comes down to the position of the baby, luck, and having a roomy pelvis. [/quote]
