Sorry to be a hater but this thread prompted me to look up her Instagram since I hadn’t heard her name in years… sorry but she looks/sounds/comes off so boring and vapid. Good for them making a marriage work in Hollywood— and nice for their kids. But her new show looks bad and she seems shallow and silly to me. I don’t even have the energy to look him up.
I think you may have a point. I have nothing against Gellar and Prinze, I just don't see the appeal beyond basic good behavior. (We're congratulating a couple for achieving basic decency now?) They seem totally inoffensive, but they also don't seem very interesting. Coming from their position of privilege, they probably could've done a lot more with their lives than just coast on their successes and diplomatically stay out of drama. *shrug* I saw the trailer for Wolf Pack+ and it seems silly. There are other fantasy TV shows out there right now, like House of the Dragon, which are better IMO.
And Buffy didn't seem silly when it started?
PP you're replying to here. I was never really a fan of Buffy and didn't make it past the first 2 episodes, ever. I didn't like that the script required SMG to slut-shame herself in like the first or second episode, I thought Xander or whoever her guy friend was called was toxic AF, and being of Hindu heritage, I was pretty pissed off that Lord Shiva was included in the opening theme song as one of the demons and monsters that Buffy has to slay.
Interesting. I'm the person you're responding to and am also Hindu, and I have no idea what you're talking about. Please elaborate on this.
Go watch the intro song from season 1. I don't know if they changed it after season 1 and it's too late for me to look it up. There's a shot of the Dancing Nataraja alongside vampires, ghouls, and all the monstrous beings that are being paraded through that opening song as Buffy's enemies. And in either the pilot episode or the 2nd episode, Buffy is gifted with a crucifix necklace to protect her from the vampires. That confirmed to me that placing Nataraja in that line up was no accident.
