Not all that famous, but a lot of us don’t know the voices of Supreme Court justices. And this doesn’t count but a lot of actors use accents so it’s shocking to hear their real voices. Christian Bale, Tom Holland, and Colin Ferrel were surprises to me.
That's a good point about actors. Many are definitely true vocal chameleons. I also think of Hugh Laurie who became so well known for playing an American on House, and did it for so long, that he now basically has an American speaking voice and a British speaking voice and can do either. They made a joke about it on his latest show because he played a character who is British but pretends to be American for his job, and he winds up having to flip back and forth between accents multiple times, even in the same scene. It's funny and impressive but I suppose he has had a lot of practice.
Damian Lewis, also. I first saw him in Band of Brothers and had no idea he was British.
