My son just got engaged to a wonderful young woman. He's 28 and she's 26; they've been dating for two years. They met through her mom, who was the volunteer coordinator at Big Brothers/Big Sisters, where my son was a volunteer mentor.
So young to get married. Statistics are against it lasting.
Statistics are NOT against 28 and 26! DCUM’s insistence on infantilizing people over 25 is just exhausting. DH and I got married at 26 and 27, 10 years ago. If DCUM is any metric we are doing better than 99% of you all in terms of marital happiness.
Keep trying to make yourself feel better. It is ridiculously young to get married. Did you both actually graduate from college?
Not this PP but I met my DH at work and got married at 26. We both did go to college, terminal degrees for both of us. We had children a year later, and our children have been in the magnet programs that all the harpies on DCUM covet. We make good money and eat processed food sometimes. Statistics show you are dumb like rock and need to MYOB thanks.
