My FIL used to brag and then my MIL would correct him and they would just pick at each other in front of us. I hated it. The thing was, my FIL was really annoying and exaggerated a lot and so technically speaking my MIL had reason to correct him but the fact is that her behavior in correcting him made things worse. So I work hard at not correcting something that my husband exaggerates about in front of our friends when it's not really important.[/quote]
