I just don't see much of Virginia being terribly academic. I can't believe the biggest school in the state has OVER a 4.0 GPA as its average.
I just can't even. DCUM, never change.
There is definetly a bubble some live in. The equivalent of T20 or bust. If not NOVA or T20/10 you won't have real academic learning and will live in poverty.
You are putting your own spin on what I said. A 4.0 GPA is extremely high especially as an average for a state's acceptance. I stand by the claim that there are not a lot of Virginia students that have 4.0 GPA's. I had the time to look up the stats and there are a huge number of transfers that get in with a 3.5 GPA average and then most of the kids that apply out of state also get in at much higher rates than in state. It's the first year Virginia kids as a whole that do not get in at high rates and need to have very high GPA's well over 4.0. I don't think there are a lot of kids outside of the Governor's schools that have over a 4.0 for all majors applied to.
