A couple thoughts here...

Vienna like North Bethesda? Nope...North Bethesda doesn't have the walkability that TOV has.
Some parts of North Arlington resemble parts of Chevy Chase MD
Oakton is closer to North Potomac than Darnestown
Takoma Park and SS don't have anything comparable to Old Town Alexandria

These places are different for sure.

Old Town Alexandria house prices are $$$. Takoma Park is $$. Silver Spring is $$ and $.

In terms of housing stock (think 100-year-old bungalows), Takoma Park is very similar to parts of Arlington. Comparing Arlington to Chevy Chase is a real stretch. [/quote]
