silver springs
has more in common with Arlington except better schools
silver springs and p hills are the same lower rated schools, silver spring is lower than bethesda and pimmit is lower than mclean
Weird - Blair is the best school in the county by a wide margin.
Well, sure, in terms of outcomes but by best, most people mean great schools rating.
If you are interested in things like college admission stats that's covered here,

Blair is the best if you only look at the magnet program. If your kid gets into that magnet program, it is absolutely worth going. But outside the magnet program, Blair is a wonderful school but definitely not the best in Moco.

Falls Church
Kensington has a very small walkable downtown area. Housing is / was relatively affordable.
I lIve in FCC and have a walk score of 95. I'd say more like Chevy Chase but smaller (no mall).
I think FCC is more like downtown Bethesda.
You FCC folks are dreaming.

Chantilly is a lot like Chevy Chase.

City of Alexandria - Takoma Park / Silver Spring

Ashburn - North Potomac

Fairfax City - Rockville
Lorton - Germantown
Nothing really compares to Chevy Chase , Glen Echo, Brookmont or Cabin John, or Poolesville or Frederick.
Seems the most accurate so far.
A couple thoughts here...
Vienna like North Bethesda? Nope...North Bethesda doesn't have the walkability that TOV has.
Some parts of North Arlington resemble parts of Chevy Chase MD
Oakton is closer to North Potomac than Darnestown
Takoma Park and SS don't have anything comparable to Old Town Alexandria
These places are different for sure.
Old Town Alexandria house prices are $$$. Takoma Park is $$. Silver Spring is $$ and $.
In terms of housing stock (think 100-year-old bungalows), Takoma Park is very similar to parts of Arlington. Comparing Arlington to Chevy Chase is a real stretch.

Vienna is the antithesis of Chevy Chase.
