Not the OP, but DH booked separate rooms for this trip. 19 y.o. DS gave him an earful after our last trip when he and his older sister were squeezed on a smaller than a queen couch. They slept in the same bed for years when we traveled but they are now simply too old and big for it.

People may have a variety of things to say about DS, but bratty and disrespectful are not on the list. We can easily afford the second room. DH just prefers for us to all be in one.

Our kids are now young adults and a separate room - or larger suite - makes sense, especially as we can afford it.
