I call BS.

It is against FEDERAL LAW to have live animals on the premise wherever food is sold.  There are minor exceptions for things like fish tanks besides service dogs.

Technically, coffee shops and all restaurants are not allowed to let dogs into their establishments because they are selling food.  Dogs are absolutely not allowed in grocery stores, period.  What Costco said yes?  I would like to know so that I can lodge a complaint that that Costco is violating federal law.[/quote]

Dogs and NO LIVE animals, except for few exceptions, are not allowed in restaurants,.cafes, and certainly not grocery stores. Period.  The fact that people do not follow the law and it isn't often enforced doesn't mean that it isn't against the law.  Keep your dogs and other animals at home. They do not belong near my food.
