Along the bigger cities, it feels less southern. But outside of these areas, it is a truly southern city. And I mean southern in terms of architecture, landscape, cuisine, etc. People need to read more Florida history. It was a territory that was overtaken by Spain and France in the past. It has rich native american and spanish culture/remnants and now a good portion of latino culture in SoFL.
