I am 100 lbs overweight and pretty sure I am diabetic. Anyone recommend a medical practice that does weight loss with newer drugs, nutrition, behavioral therapy all in one? I need to change my lifestyle and eating habits, but I realize I cannot do it on my own anymore. I know there are diet programs, and I did one. But the therapy and help was minimal, it was all about buying their products and a drug. I want to use the new drugs, but I need therapy etc to go with it. I would consider surgery, but too many horror stories about complications after a couple years. And, with the surgery you don’t eat anything hardly, that is why every one loses weight.
I was you. I put off surgery for years. Finally did it and cried after a year that I had put it off for so long. It's not really behavior therapy you need because your eating is just a deeply ingrained habit and breaking habits is tough. You already know the things to do to break a bad habit and if you don't you can google. Complications from the surgeries are far more rare these days. They have been doing these surgeries for 30 + yrs and over that time experience and knowledge has grown among the medical community.
