Screw that.  Taiwan is an independent sovereign nation.  The US is an independent sovereign nation.  China does not have any right to bully, threaten or dictate to the US nor does it have any right to bully, threaten or dictate to Taiwan.

You are wrong.  Taiwan (or the Republic of China to use their own language) is not an independent sovereign nation.  Just because they say they are doesn’t matter. The US and the vast majority of nations that matter do not recognize Taiwan as a sovereign nation.  The US recognizes Beijing as the sole leader of China.[/quote]

The UN takes that stance because China has a seat on the Security Council. If it were put to a vote, Taiwan would be in. Why does China have a seat on the Security Council? Because a seat was given to the Republic of China and the communist goons managed to take it when they took over the mainland.[/quote]
