Gonna laugh at you all when we nominate Franchot tomorrow. Maryland doesn't want any Progressive BS, we want moderates.
I voted Franchot to avoid a Republican Governor. Any progressive Democratic nominee virtually ensures a Schulz win in November. However, I'm not excited about Franchot, at all. It was a protest vote against well-meaning but poorly-implemented progressivism.
I disagree. I hope most Democrats would vote for any Democrat over a Republican at this point. I voted for Hogan years ago, because while I'm a Democrat I have always tried to vote for the best candidate. But nowadays my stance has changed. Right now I'm choosing between which I think is the best Democrat and I'm still kind of on the fence with Perez but I'm leaning that way. But whoever our nominee is, will be who I vote for in November. i'm basically playing the Republican card. That's what they do. So that's what I do
There are a ton of Blue Dog Democrats in Maryland. Always have been. Please don't take a Democratic win in November for granted. I agree that any Dem is better than a Republican at this point. For the same reason you do. But I certainly don't think most people feel that way. That's why I voted Franchot. I think he has the best chance to win the State.
