Why is excitement the goal here?

I voted Franchot to avoid a Republican Governor. Any progressive Democratic nominee virtually ensures a Schulz win in November.
However, I'm not excited about Franchot, at all. It was a protest vote against well-meaning but poorly-implemented progressivism.
I disagree. I hope most Democrats would vote for any Democrat over a Republican at this point. I voted for Hogan years ago, because while I'm a Democrat I have always tried to vote for the best candidate. But nowadays my stance has changed. Right now I'm choosing between which I think is the best Democrat and I'm still kind of on the fence with Perez but I'm leaning that way. But whoever our nominee is, will be who I vote for in November. i'm basically playing the Republican card. That's what they do. So that's what I do

Anonymous wrote:Perez has proven himself incompetent at leading organizations. At Labor he botched the Overtime Rule to the extent that many think he may have done so intentionally. And of course at the DNC he quite famously botched the Iowa Caucuses and then tried to blame it on the IA state Democratic party. Please don’t vote for him, Maryland doesn’t need more incompetence. Thanks.
