Ha see this is what men think. They have this idea that women constantly get praise and hit on and attention because they think they are seeing all women. But I went though years of my life where I never got the attention of men at all, unless it was negative attention. I was chubby and didn't know how to do my hair, so men just skipped over me and talked to my pretty friends. I guess I can't say they totally ignored me; many were cordial. But I would hear them talk about how women got all this attention from men but the women only wanted tall guys with promising careers, and I was like "hello! I'm right here!"

And then I lost weight and figured out how to do my hair and I had a steady stream of boyfriends for years until I got married.

I am not complaining or bitter. I don't think men owe me their attention and I honestly don't blame them for not being attracted to me. But I know my story isn't unique and to say that some women aren't invisible (in the romantic sense) to men is laughable.[/quote]
