There are many of us in DC and NOVA still that are pro gun. I’m a member of a black rifle owners club in DC. As black folk, we take 2a very seriously given our history with the government. I don't understand this line of argument at all, regardless of skin color. This isn't the 18th century where a bunch of red coats without supply lines have to fight against an entrenched population.

Do you not realize that if the mighty U.S. government wanted to take you out, or take a few thousand people out at once, it has the means to do so in a few short hours without any collateral damage to its troops (with most of that time spent simply finding you assuming you were on the run and hiding and a minute to actually kill you?) What's your AR-15 gonna accomplish? It wouldn't even qualify as bringing a knife to a gun fight.

I certainly hope that I don't ever see real conflict between the federal government and the citizenry in my lifetime, but asymmetrical warfare is a very real and effective strategy.  But more importantly, it isn't just about some far-fetched notion of conflict with the feds.  Many people are concerned (and rightfully so) about whether their government, both federal and local, will actually be there to protect them when the proverbial s&*% hits the fan.  A lot of people who never saw themselves as "gun people" purchased firearms in droves when they watched cities and neighborhoods looted and destroyed amidst all the protests within the last few years.[/quote]

People on this forum should take five minutes to digest what this particular poster is saying. Very articulate and reasoned. Clearly well-trained, responsible and not interested in mass chaos when it comes to guns/gun safety. Understands both the constitution and our nation’s history - and also has a clear view of other nation’s history. No one is even considering why the Uighur’s are still enslaved, tortured, murdered. Certainly Democrats in Congress do not.

Both posters are idiots without any understand of what it means to actually fight an army. You would not win against the local police force. It is laughable to think a few soft fat old men with assault rifles would be a threat to a company of infantry let a lone an army. The more disturbing part of your post is that you openly say you will use violence if you disagree with the elected government. Why didn’t you grab you gun and storm the Capitol? [/quote]
