This seems like a cheap shot. The Capital Recruiting Director just had a great year with the 23 class. Results are what matter. Pretty ridiculous comment regarding thin skin.
The value of a recruiting director isn't for UA 150 girls who are targeting top 20 schools. Its for the girls who are just trying to play D1. Top schools know who can play and who can't. The only info most top players need is 1) Take your SATs before September of your junior year 2) Put together 5 good minutes of film showcasing the position you want to play in college 3) Start emailing coaches the summer of your freshman year 4) Go to camps of your top targets during your freshman summer and sophomore year 95% of all recruiting directors provide this. For lesser players, they really need someone pulling for them and this is where a recruiting director matters.
Some of this is true. But even at the highest level, it sure does help to have a recruiting director who knows top college coaches personally who can help separate your kid from the pack. Case in point: if it were purely up to the player, and recruiting directors offer little to no help, Pride 23s should have done far better than they did. The player’s talents are what matter most. But club reputation, strength of schedule, tournament invitations, having ample field time to show their stuff, and yes, having a well-respected / connected recruiting director to champion your kid, all play a role in this increasingly competitive recruiting environment.
