OP here --- please know that I did NOT ask if they were vaccinated or not prior to inviting them to join us for brunch. They accepted the invite, then on their own shared that "however please know that none of us are vaccinated...so let us know if that's an issue for you or your mom"......at which point my response was "we will sit in outdoor area that is covered but still partially ventilated....my mom can sit opposite end of table"

The only overstepping was maybe when I..totally out of curiosity because this was being requested by employers at one point...asked "do you do weekly rapid tests since you are not vaccinated?"

Her response was "OMG...so we're still a threat?" -- which I thought was bit overreacting.  [/quote]

Agree. OP should not have asked about weekly testing. Vaccinated people can still spread the virus. The unvaxed cousins aren't more likely to give it to grandma than OP herself.

As long as grandma is vaccinated and also a willing participant in this lunch, then OP needs to drop the matter. [/quote]
