Anyone backed by the teachers union is a union shill.  They will expect her to support their positions on the BOE in exchange for their endorsement which, unfortunately, still carries a lot of weight in Montgomery County.  I think most parents have woken up to the toxic nature of MCEA's effect on the schools.  But most people without kids still have no idea and simply vote for whomever is on the Apple ballot.[/quote]

At the very least, I'll be open minded with her.  FWIW, I completely agree with her that the BOE and MCPS has not paid enough attention to elementary students for a long time.  This goes back to before COVID, but their pandemic response highlighted that.
