You need to educate yourself about RM and stop trashing it.  Given the economic diversity at RM, I'd say it is VERY close.

2019 AP scores:
Percentage of males at the school who took at least one AP exam and passed: RM (83.7%); Wootton (87.3%)
Percentage of females at the school who took at least one AP exam and passed: RM (83.9%); Wootton (86.8%)

By race:
At RM, whites and Hispanics scored higher than their counterparts at Wootton
At Wootton, Asians and African Americans scored higher than their counterparts at RM

% of AP tests with passing scores (3-5)
Wootton - 88.6%
Whitman - 88.3%
Poolesville - 87.9%
Blair - 87.1%
WJ - 86.2%
Churchill - 83.6%
RM - 81%
BCC - 78.0%

Scores at QO and Northwest [u]were[/u] substantially lower than at Wootton and RM.

RM parent here..[b] I'm sure someone will say that the RM stats are skewed by RMIB students (my kid is one), but honestly, why would that matter?[/b] It's like saying Wootton scores are skewed because all the UMC families.   In cluster students can join the IB program in 11th grade (must have the grades and recs)  So, really, the fact that RM has an IB magnet program is a plus.

RM is very diverse, both racially and SES, and the scores reflect that diversity.  Even so, a ton of students, including non IB students, do take AP classes/tests.  It's a great school, even with all the issues.  Main St is awesome, and my kid loves that they get open lunch.  There are so many active clubs, and the diversity means any student can find their "tribe".[/quote]

Size of RMIB = 500 kids, including a minimum of 100 who are in-bounds.  # of students passing AP exams in 2019 = 958.  [/quote]
