My child is a college swimmer in a warm weather state and they do not allow spectators at meets even though they swim outside.  So it's not an NCAA thing, it's a covid-denying governor thing.[/quote]

I’m not sure what GMU’s mask policy has to do with the fact that spectators were packed in the stands for a college invitational, but I was there back in December when I saw the packed stands. Yes people were masked, but packed in like sardines and yelling. Northam was still governor then.

Maybe they were charging spectators to watch that invitational meet. That could explain the difference in policies. If the university sees a chance to make some money they’ll certainly take it.[/quote]
